Why

was created

Have you ever revisited an old app you used as a kid? Have you logged back into your decade-old account (you know-- the one with embarrassing username, only to find that the app isn't what it used to be? You find that now it's riddled with ads and paywalls. Then you're not

That's exactly what happened to the founder and CEO of MainWRLD.

Kayla Newton, born and raised in New York, wanted to create an app that works for the consumer, not against them.

After being laid off in January 2026, the 25 year old took a risk to self fund her passion project.

Thus the birth of MainWRLD-- an ad-free social book app for both readers and writers. She has always been a creative at heart and aspires to be a world-renowned screenwriter in the coming decade.
